malta: take 2

more a memory than recent news (we went a month ago) but worth posting nonetheless...

after a... shall we say 'mixed result' last time... this was a completely different malta experience... a summer holiday with consistent hot sunny weather each day, balmy nights, and many different beaches to explore... best of all B was in good health and able to enjoy the sights (see below), sounds (people beeping as we zoomed around the island in our hire car; me attempting to speak maltese... badly!) and meeting of various relatives...

this top photo is of a beach called 'ghar tuffieha' which my dad said we should not under any circumstances swim in ... so of course we had to make it one of our first ports of call... i'm happy to report that we didn't get swept out to sea (nor did any of the small children swimming there... it isn't *always* dangerous)... and we didn't fall in a pot hole either for that matter... just took it easy... and ate a few pastizzi...
